Bringing psychological expertise beyond the testing room to schools, organizations, workplaces, and the professionals we're training for tomorrow.

Start a Conversation

The work of a psychologist doesn't stop at the evaluation table. The knowledge and skills that make for excellent psychological assessment, such as a deep understanding of human behavior, neurodevelopment, personality, and cognitive functioning, have meaningful applications far beyond the clinical setting.

At Mountain Peak Psychology, we offer a range of professional services designed to share that expertise with schools, organizations, businesses, and fellow mental health professionals. Whether you're a school administrator looking to better serve neurodiverse students or a company interested in leveraging psychological science to strengthen your team, we'd welcome a conversation.

All professional services are customized to the specific needs of your organization or team. Please reach out to discuss your goals, and we'll design a service that fits.

Presentations & Community Education

Making complex psychological concepts accessible to students, parents, teachers, businesses, and communities who need them most.

One of the most valuable things a psychologist can do is translate research into language that real people can use. Mountain Peak Psychology offers engaging, professionally developed presentations on a range of topics related to psychology, assessment, and neurodevelopment.

For Schools: Careers in Psychology

Designed for high school or undergraduate audiences, this presentation offers students an honest, inside look at what a career in psychology actually involves, the many paths available, the training required, what psychologists do day-to-day, and what makes assessment a particularly meaningful specialty. Suitable for career days, psychology classes, AP Psychology courses, pre-health clubs, and college prep events.

  • The different types of psychologists and what each does.

  • What doctoral training in psychology looks like, and how to get there.

  • What psychological assessment is and why it matters.

  • Day-in-the-life perspectives on working as a licensed psychologist.

  • Q&A with a practicing doctoral-level psychologist.

For Parents: Understanding Psychological Evaluation

This presentation gives parents and caregivers a grounded, practical understanding of what psychological evaluations involve, when they might be warranted, and how to advocate effectively for their child. Ideal for PTAs, school parent nights, early childhood programs, pediatric practices, and parent support groups. Can be tailored to a specific age group or area of concern.

  • What psychological and educational evaluations actually measure.

  • Signs an evaluation might be worth pursuing, and signs that watchful waiting is appropriate.

  • The difference between a school evaluation and a private evaluation.

  • How to find a qualified evaluator and what questions to ask.

  • What to expect from the evaluation process, start to finish.

  • How to make sense of a psychological report and translate findings into support at school and at home.

For Professionals: Psychology & Neurodiversity Training

Teachers, school counselors, social workers, pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals working with children and adolescents frequently encounter neuro-developmental differences, but may not have received formal training in how to recognize, understand, or respond to them. We offer professional development trainings grounded in current research and designed for non-psychologist audiences.

  • Understanding ADHD: What it is, what it isn't, and what actually helps.

  • Autism spectrum disorder in the classroom: Recognizing diverse presentations and building inclusive environments.

  • The basics of psychological assessment: What evaluations measure, how to refer, and how to read a report.

  • Learning disorders and academic struggles: Early identification and intervention.

  • Neurodiversity as a framework: Moving beyond deficit-focused models toward strength-based understanding.

  • Supporting neurodiverse students in general education settings.

  • Understanding twice-exceptional (2e) learners: Students who are gifted and have a learning disorder or other neurodevelopmental condition.

Trainings can be delivered as a single session (60–90 minutes) or expanded into a multi-session series. CEU documentation may be available depending on your licensing board. Please inquire.
