Professional Services
Bringing psychological expertise beyond the testing room — to schools, organizations, workplaces, and the professionals we're training for tomorrow.
The work of a psychologist doesn't stop at the evaluation table. The knowledge and skills that make for excellent psychological assessment — deep understanding of human behavior, neurodevelopment, personality, and cognitive functioning — have meaningful applications far beyond the clinical setting.
At Mountain Peak Psychology, we offer a range of professional services designed to share that expertise with schools, organizations, businesses, and fellow mental health professionals. Whether you're a school administrator looking to better serve neurodiverse students, a company interested in leveraging psychological science to strengthen your team, or a pre-licensed psychologist seeking supervision, we'd welcome a conversation.
All professional services are customized to the specific needs of your organization or team. Please reach out to discuss your goals, and we'll design a service that fits.

Presentations & Community Education
Making complex psychological concepts accessible — to the students, parents, teachers, businesses and communities who need them most.
One of the most valuable things a psychologist can do is translate research into language that real people can use. We offer engaging, professionally developed presentations on a range of topics related to psychology, assessment, and neurodevelopment.
For Schools: Careers in Psychology
Designed for high school or undergraduate audiences, this presentation offers students an honest, inside look at what a career in psychology actually involves — the many paths available, the training required, what psychologists do day-to-day, and what makes assessment a particularly meaningful specialty. Suitable for career days, psychology classes, AP Psychology courses, pre-health clubs, and college prep events.
The different types of psychologists and what each does.
What doctoral training in psychology looks like — and how to get there.
What psychological assessment is and why it matters.
Day-in-the-life perspectives on working as a licensed psychologist.
Q&A with a practicing doctoral-level psychologist.
For Parents: Understanding Psychological Evaluation
This presentation gives parents and caregivers a grounded, practical understanding of what psychological evaluations involve, when they might be warranted, and how to advocate effectively for their child. Ideal for PTAs, school parent nights, early childhood programs, pediatric practices, and parent support groups. Can be tailored to a specific age group or area of concern.
What psychological and educational evaluations actually measure.
Signs an evaluation might be worth pursuing — and signs that watchful waiting is appropriate.
The difference between a school evaluation and a private evaluation.
How to find a qualified evaluator and what questions to ask.
What to expect from the evaluation process, start to finish.
How to make sense of a psychological report and translate findings into supports at school and at home.
For Professionals: Psychology & Neurodiversity Training
Teachers, school counselors, social workers, pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals working with children and adolescents frequently encounter neuro-developmental differences — but may not have received formal training in how to recognize, understand, or respond to them. We offer professional development trainings grounded in current research and designed for non-psychologist audiences.
Understanding ADHD — what it is, what it isn't, and what actually helps.
Autism spectrum disorder in the classroom — recognizing diverse presentations and building inclusive environments.
The basics of psychological assessment — what evaluations measure, how to refer, and how to read a report.
Learning disorders and academic struggles — early identification and intervention.
Neurodiversity as a framework — moving beyond deficit-focused models toward strength-based understanding.
Supporting neurodiverse students in general education settings.
Understanding twice-exceptional (2e) learners — students who are gifted and have a learning disorder or other neuro-developmental condition.
Trainings can be delivered as a single session (60–90 minutes) or expanded into a multi-session series. CEU documentation may be available depending on your licensing board — please inquire.

Workplace Psychological Assessment & Consultation
Bringing the rigor and insight of psychological assessment into organizational contexts.
Psychological science has powerful applications in the workplace — far beyond the clinical setting. Understanding how people think, communicate, make decisions, and manage stress is valuable information for any organization that wants to build effective teams, support leadership development, and foster a healthier work culture.
Individual Strengths & Communication Assessment
Using validated psychological and cognitive instruments, we can assess individual employees or executives to identify cognitive strengths, working styles, communication preferences, and personality characteristics that affect how they perform and collaborate. This is not a clinical evaluation — it is a professional development tool designed to produce actionable, affirming insights.
Results are delivered through a private feedback session and a written profile that the individual can use to better understand their professional strengths, areas for growth, and the conditions in which they do their best work. Well-suited for executive coaching, onboarding new leaders, team development, and career transition support.
Team Communication & Dynamics Consultation
When workplace conflict, miscommunication, or stalled collaboration is affecting a team, the underlying issue is often not a lack of effort or goodwill — it's a mismatch in cognitive styles, communication preferences, or interpersonal dynamics that no one has ever named or addressed.
We work with teams to identify the psychological and interpersonal factors contributing to friction, and provide concrete frameworks and strategies for improving communication, reducing conflict, and building on the strengths already present in the group. Appropriate for leadership teams, organizations navigating change, HR partnerships, and companies that want to move beyond generic personality quizzes.
Organizational Consultation
Beyond individual assessment and team dynamics, we are available for broader organizational consultation — helping companies think through how psychological insights can inform their hiring, leadership development, employee support, and workplace culture. This may take the form of a single consultation session or an ongoing advisory relationship.
“Workplace assessment services are designed for professional development and organizational health purposes. They are not clinical evaluations, do not produce medical or psychiatric diagnoses, and are not appropriate as a substitute for employee mental health services or clinical care.”

Supervision for Pre-Licensed Psychologists in Colorado
Good supervision matters. It shapes the kind of clinician you become.
Becoming a licensed psychologist is a long and demanding path — one that requires not just years of graduate training, but a period of supervised professional experience that is as much an art as it is a requirement.
We offer individual supervision for psychology trainees and post-doctoral fellows pursuing licensure in the state of Colorado, with a particular focus on psychological assessment. We bring the same care, thoughtfulness, and directness to supervision that we bring to clinical work — creating a space that is both supportive and genuinely challenging.
Who Is This For?
Doctoral-level psychology trainees (practicum students, externs, or interns) seeking assessment supervision.
Post-doctoral psychology fellows completing their required supervised hours toward licensure in Colorado.
Pre-licensed psychologists whose primary supervisor does not specialize in assessment and who want supplemental supervision from an assessment specialist.
Early-career psychologists transitioning into assessment-heavy roles who want a focused consultation relationship.
What Supervision Looks Like
Supervision sessions are individualized to your developmental stage, training background, and specific learning goals. We are committed to supervision that goes beyond administrative sign-off — sessions are substantive, case-focused, and designed to build genuine competence.
Case conceptualization — developing nuanced, clinically grounded understanding of complex presentations.
Assessment battery selection — designing evaluations that are appropriate, efficient, and responsive to referral questions.
Test interpretation — moving beyond scores to integrated, meaningful clinical interpretation.
Report writing — developing a professional, readable, and clinically rich writing style.
Feedback and consultation delivery — communicating results effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
Differential diagnosis — navigating complex, overlapping presentations with confidence and intellectual humility.
Professional development — navigating the path to licensure, building a professional identity, and thinking about your career trajectory.
Our Supervisory Approach
Supervision is a relationship — and like any good clinical relationship, it works best when there is honesty, mutual respect, and a genuine investment in growth. We approach supervision as a collaborative process: direct about areas for development, generous with clinical reasoning and expertise, and committed to creating a supervisory environment where it feels safe to not know something, ask questions, and make mistakes.
We are particularly passionate about supervision in assessment, because high-quality psychological evaluation is a skill that develops through careful, deliberate practice under experienced guidance — and because the quality of a trainee's assessment work has real consequences for the clients they serve.
Logistics & Requirements
Supervision is provided in individual format. Sessions are held at our Golden office or virtually, depending on your location and the nature of your training. We are a Colorado-licensed practice and are able to provide supervision that counts toward Colorado licensure requirements.
Supervision fees are discussed during an initial consultation. Pre-doctoral trainees and post-doctoral fellows are welcome to inquire — we are sensitive to the financial realities of training.
“Supervision availability is limited to ensure supervisees receive adequate time and attention. Reach out early to discuss current availability and fit.”
